It's my birthday!

I big chopped my 7 month transitioning hair, on my 25th birthday, 14 years ago, May 16, 2002. Time truly flies when you are having fun. And that's what this journey has been...fun! At this stage in the game, I've seen a lot of things come and go. I've seen new hair companies enter the scene, while others have exited. I've seen beauty and hair gurus come and go, evolve and/or disappear. I've also seen a side of myself who thought she knew everything there was to know about some hair, natural or not. "After all, I'd been researching for years before all this "hype" started, right? What could I possibly learn from some newbie? (Scoff) How are THEY gonna tell ME something? Instagram? Facebook? Whatever, messageboards is where the real info is at lol. These folk need to read some hair books!" I could go on and on for days about my old way of thinking. Thank God for leaning not... I've seen growth spiritually, emotionally and physically in myself. I become more and more aware as the days pass. Who would've thought hair could do all of that lol!? I am learning to take each day, one day at a time. There's truly no rush. I look forward to learning something new, about hair or otherwise, EVERY day. It keeps life so much more interesting. As I type this, at 4am because of waking up at this strange hour (and because of dehydration lol... awareness! ;) ) I'll leave this thought..."No man knows less, than the man who knows it all." Keep your minds open. Peace and (no) hair grease. ;*
